For the most part, I would say that I can work my way around technology. I feel comfortable operating my document camera and projector. Well, now that I think about it, I have had to rely on the technological skills of my fourth graders numerous times when I don't remember to press that button or plug in that cord. It is amazing how much they already know when it comes to operating and using technology.
I suppose I am most looking forward to learning something that will challenge my students and being able show them new ways to use technology in order to learn. I believe there are many valuable tools that we will learn about. As just a second year teacher, I am always wanting to learn new ways to improve my teaching.
As we move quickly towards a period in our society when everyone will be expected to use various forms of technology, I hope to be a teacher whose students will leave 4th grade being that much more prepared to succeed in their future lives.
